Dear God
Dear God,
Thank you for the beautiful blessings that impact my life each and every day.I have total faith in you and your abilities, as you have proven to me countless times that I am heard and worthy. However, today was not a good day for me. Today I was feeling unappreciated, not valued, ignored, overlooked, anxious, worried, and a little out of place. I think there's a number of things and circumstances that have contributed to these stormy feelings. But, Father, I ask you to release me of these insecurities. For, when I am insecure, I find that I am a less effective wife, mother, teacher, and friend. And though I am needy, I am also very needed. I pray that you speak to my heart and remind me how great that I am. Please talk to me Lord; I long to hear from you.
In Jesus's name-
Amen

Funny Child
Sunday afternoon was a relax all day in our jammies type of day. You know, the type of day that you might watch an America's Next Top Model marathon. Apparently my daughter was inspired and wanted to have a photo shoot. "You take the pictures, and I'll pose mommy." With this said, we proceeded to have a 5 minute photo shoot. Here's the footage.
p.s. please disregard the mess in the background. We've been moving furniture around since last weekend!

Not Me Monday!
Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to http://www.mycharmingkids.net">her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.
This is my first Not Me Monday experience..Here it goes: Well, I picked my three year old daughter up from pre-school, and she most certainly did not show me a worksheet where her teacher wrote her name in highlight so she could trace it because they're learning how to write their names. And Savannah, my daughter, did not say, "Mommy I told teacher that I had two n's in my name." And the worksheet absolutely did not have my daughter's name (which she was tracing) spelled SAVANAH! And, I was not at all frustrated at the thought of my daughter learning how to write her name INCORRECTLY! So, I absolutely did not send a note to Savannah's teacher suggesting that it would be a great idea to teach students how to write and spell their names correctly!! I did not put off going to the grocery store one more day. So, I did not feed my daughter a different flavored oatmeal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I mean, come on, we all know that perfect moms don't do that. We make three course meals every single day. Friday, February 27, 2009Cheese SandwichAfter an emotional challenging day today, I asked my 3 year old daughter to say something nice to mommy so I can feel better. And, she said, "Mommy, you're the best cheese sandwich cooker in the whole world!" I knew I had a purpose! Then she smirked at me with that funny little face she makes, and I ran into the kitchen to make her a grilled cheese sandwich, no crust, on a Dora plate, just like she likes them.
